Allu Arjun arrived Hyderabad's Chikkadpally police station on Tuesday to appear for questioning in connection with the tragic incident that occurred during the premiere of his movie Pushpa 2 on December 4.
Amid allegations that bouncers hired by Allu Arjun pushed crowds as well as policemen when the stampede occurred at the cinema hall, the police commissioner warned that stringent action as per law would be taken if THE bouncers indeed misbehaved with the police on duty. The VIPs would be made responsible for the behaviour of the bouncers hired by them, he said.
The eight-year-old boy, who was injured in the stampede during the screening of Pushpa-2 in Hyderabad on December 4, was taken off oxygen and ventilator support as his condition is improving, his father has said.
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has criticized Telugu actor Allu Arjun for attending the screening of 'Pushpa-2' despite police permission being denied. Reddy alleges that the actor continued to be present at the cinema hall even after a woman died in a stampede and criticized film personalities for showing more empathy to Allu Arjun after his arrest than to the injured boy involved in the incident. The CM also assured that there will be no special privileges for those involved in such incidents.
